以東岸街頭饒舌詩人Nas（納斯）為效法目標，其專輯“It Was Written”給了Lupe莫大震撼與影響，

雖然想成為街頭嘻哈戰士，但身為伊斯蘭教的Lupe卻遵守信約不去Club、不抽煙喝酒，

成為樂壇的異類人物，Lupe簽入主流大廠Atlantic後，

個人專輯“Lupe Fiasco Food & Liquor”創下Billboard #3的佳績

同時也得到葛萊美獎『最佳饒舌專輯』、『最佳饒舌歌曲』、以及『最佳饒舌歌手』三項提名。
